Job Title: AP/AR Clerk

Position Summary:
We are seeking an AP/AR Clerk to handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions in our business office.  The ideal candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, and have strong communication and analytical skills. As an AP/AR Clerk, you will be responsible for reconciling invoices, processing payments, compiling data, and maintaining accurate records using accounting software.  Automobile experience preferred.  CDK computer system.

Key Responsibilities:
➢ Handle accounts payable processes such as verifying invoices, reconciling statements, and processing payments in a timely and accurate manner.
➢ Manage accounts receivable processes such as preparing and sending invoices, tracking payments, and following up with customers regarding payments.
➢ Maintain and update accounts payable and accounts receivable records by tracking transactions, reconciling balances, and resolving discrepancies.
➢ Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and variances, and escalate issues as needed.
➢ Assist with month-end closing procedures.
➢ Maintain effective communication with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve accounting issues and ensure timely processing of transactions.
➢ Provide outstanding customer service to vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:
➢1 year of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting- Automobile business
➢ Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
➢ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
➢ Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
➢ Attention to detail and accuracy.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position. The AP/AR Clerk will work Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional overtime required to meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements:
The position requires sitting and typing at a computer workstation for extended periods, may require standing or moving around the office, and may require occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.

Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $35-40K per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, 401k plan, vacation pay, holidays and sick leave.
